| New Parent/Teacher workshop Every September: This workshop discusses what it means to be a parent of a piano student. A presentation is made by me, followed by an open forum "in the round" where parents are able to ask each other questions on what THEY'VE done or experienced. In the open forum, parents can openly exchange stories and information. |
| in the Meantime: |
| * Reinforce regular practice and theory assignments. Most children need reminders. |
| *Make sure they are on time and prepared for lessons- remember all books and binder * Call me with any questions you have about their assignment or practice issues |
| *PRAISE THEM! Parents who stay positively involved in their child's practice and study find that their progress/enjoyment is a significant factor in their success. |
